Resistance Exercise for the over 40 crowd is a big deal. I’ve always been a “walker” for as long as I can remember so cardiovascular exercise comes naturally to me. Adding resistance exercise into my weekly routine required more of my focus as I just didn’t know how to do go about it and I felt insecure with my lack of knowledge.
I learned through a personal trainer, watched videos, and I observed others at the gym.
Building muscle as I age is vital to my balance, mobility and posture and it helped bring my HgbA1C level to 5.8% (I was in the Prediabetes category prior to starting resistance exercise 4 years ago).
